Our Intercessions for today.
God of goodness, I thank you for the wonders of the earth and the beauty of
the universe.
I thank you for the place you have given me in your creation. Grant me
today to value what you have given me in the words of my heart and in the
actions of my life.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
I pray for the earth where forests are being destroyed, the soil eroded, the
water polluted.
Guide by your Spirit all who groan for a better world, all who seek to
restore and renew the earth. I pray for governments, that you will give
wisdom to the nations so they may nourish creation through preservation
and sustainability.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
God of the starry sky and beyond, strengthen the whole church throughout
your world, so as to value the life you have given us.
Grant us the help we need to follow the steps you have placed before us so
we may nourish our souls and not lose our deepest self.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Holy Spirit open our eyes, our ears, to know what it means to lose our life so
as to gain it. Give your church strength of heart and energy of body to
witness to your love, so as to share the good news of your kingdom with
friends and strangers, causing the earth to become like heaven.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Healing Christ, I pray for all who are troubled.
Praying particularly for all who are suffering because the coronavirus:
I pray for those who are physically ill,
For those who are struggling mentally, for those who feel lost and have little hope.
I name those I know in my heart now to you O God.
Lord in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Lord of all life and goodness, welcome and embrace in your kingdom all
who have died and yet remain in our hearts.
Grant them the joy and peace that their souls have longed to find and know.
Bless them as you bless me as I speak their names to you in my heart.

Hear our prayer.
Holy Spirit, travel with me this day and in the days of this week, in ways I can understand so that I can travel in your footsteps.
